Sliced Bread provides detailed logging for every execution, allowing for full traceability and easier troubleshooting.
3.2.1. The Bread Tab (Monitoring Batches) #
The Bread tab is your main monitoring dashboard. Every time a recipe is executed, it creates a “Bread” record. This parent record represents the entire job and tracks its overall progress, status (e.g., “In Progress,” “Completed,” “Failed”), and high-level statistics.
When you open a Bread record, the “Details” tab is shown by default (ref: 1.83).
3.2.2. Monitoring Bread Slices (Drilling Down) #
Each “Bread” record has a related list of “Bread Slices.” A Slice represents a single unit of work (e.g., one row from your CSV file or one record from your SOQL query).
This granular view is the key to troubleshooting. You can see the status of each individual slice. If a slice fails, the “Status Reason” field will contain the specific error message.
For slices that successfully create or update records, you can use the “Go To Record” link to navigate directly to the Contact, Account, or other record that was processed.
3.2.3. Sliced Bread Record History Component #
For user-facing monitoring, you can add the “Sliced Bread Record History” Lightning Component directly to your record pages (e.g., on the Account or Contact layout).
This component is automatically filtered to show the full history of all Sliced Bread jobs that have processed that specific record, giving users and admins a complete audit trail. (ref: 1.174)
